Fall always seems to be the busiest time of year for us. With all the bugs going into hiding I am filling up our schedule with as many activities as possible. This October is extra busy with Brian taking a long trip to China and I have family coming into town. Last year I toughed out the life of single parenthood and it was the hardest 3 weeks. I was super sick and painted our kitchen cabinets. I still haven't recovered. This year I talked my mom into coming out while he is gone so I can get a least one good night of sleep and all of my doctor and dentist appointments taken care of.
We made our fall bucket list last week and have been getting busy checking everything off. Here are an insane amount of pictures of what we've been up to so far. (sorry for some of the iPhone quality pictures)One day while Coco and Brian napped Amelia and I spent a magical afternoon at the beach. I don't get to spend a lot of time one on one with Amelia and it was so much fun. She is all sunshine.
After Brian and Coco woke up we headed back down to the beach for some sunset twirling.
One of our favorite fall activities is Kennebunk's Harvest fest. It's super low-key but perfect for our family. They have free pumpkins to take home, cider donuts, crafts, and a horse wagon ride. What else could anyone want?
They were so proud of their creations.
Picked out their own pumpkins.
After Harvest fest we took a trip down to Long Sands beach and explored the tide pools.
Another bucket list item is apple picking. We went to Mcdougal Farm with our playgroup. Oh and a tractor ride...check.
Coco was eating apples for 90% of the trip. I came home with at least 4 half eaten apples in the bag.
Next week: Leaf peeping, pumpkin patch'n, and soup making.
