Amelia: 3 1/2!

It seems like overnight Amelia went from our baby to one of the big kids. She is so capable and mature. I constantly have to remind myself that she is only 3 because she seems older. This is probably because she is compared to her wild and crazy little sister. I see changes and growth everyday and feel so grateful to be a part of her life.

Amelia has always been so sweet and content. She watches everything very carefully and always thinks before she acts. She is a rule follower (most of the time) and almost always asks for permission to do anything. She is very maternal with Coco and loves to take care of her sister. She also loves to let me know anytime Coco is "doing something". Regularly Amelia will come running out of the playroom shouting "Coco is doing something", when I get in there Coco is on top of the play kitchen throwing pretzels to the dog or standing on the desk throwing books to all her stuffed animals.

Right now Amelia is all about play dough. She wakes up in the morning and asks for her play dough bag and runs upstairs to her desk. She will stay there for hours. One thing about Amelia is that she is not a kid with a short attention span. She can sit focused on a task for a loooong time. She loves learning. She came into the world this way and I love that about her. Amelia has also been getting into activities. She took swim lessons this winter and did so well. I knew she would be comfortable in the water but she even surprised me. She went for it and showed no fear. She may be dad's surf buddy after all.

This morning I woke up to the sound of Coco's crib moving (it's right above our bed) and I knew what that meant. I grabbed my camera for pajama pictures and found this when I walked in. I was nervous about them sharing a room but it has been the best thing. They adore each other and have so much fun together. She is such a fun older sister.
Two of her favorite things: Jumping on her bed & Beary
I asked her what she wanted for breakfast and she said her princess dress, bacon, eggs, and blueberries for Beary. She also asked for her crown because it's her 1/2 birthday so she needs it.
She lives in her Rapunzel dress. Day and night. I will usually find her searching her laundry so she can put it on in the morning if she didn't wear it to bed.
Don't forget about Pascal.

Amelia loves singing and dancing (twirling mostly). She has an amazing memory. We will listen to a song a couple of times and she will be singing it word for word. She is incredibly loving and has so much joy. I think if I described Amelia is one word it would be joyful. She gets excited about everything and wears her happiness out loud. She made me a mom and she made me feel like it was an easy job (side note: it's not).  I love her more than I thought possible. She is the dream I didn't know I had.

Love you Silly Milly!

Colette: 18 Months

18 Months
-Talking ALL the time. And starting to try and identify letters.
-Loves shoes and hats. Wakes up asking for shoes.
-Started nursery. Loves it....mostly.
-Has peed on the potty a handful of times.
-Climbs everything.
-Loves reading, singing, and dancing.

This age is really one of the best. Coco is changing so much day to day. She is always on the move, very loud, incredibly sassy, dramatic, and also extremely sweet. She is very adventurous and doesn't hold back at all. We call her our hype girl because she is always stoked and cheering us on. She is game for anything and dances anytime she hears a beat. She is very polite and almost always says (or signs) please and thank you. She can be a little shy still around others and she has a legitimate resting b*tch face. I count down to bed time with her and then instantly miss her when she is asleep. Our cup runneth over with these girls.
She did NOT want to take pictures. At all.
When I was pulling up this months pictures I realized that I never posted pictures of the girls in their Christmas dresses. They were too cute not to document. Better late than never.

Cheese face. Cute...
Put these girls in pretty dresses and it's twirling time.

Happy Tuesday!
