Colette: 45 & 46 Weeks and Father's Day Pictures

 45 & 46 Weeks
-Took first solo steps!
-Still cries when anyone else tries to hold her.
-Loves the beach and being outside.
-Plays independently really well.
-Climbing the stairs and fireplace.
-Always getting into trouble. Always.
-Still puts everything in her mouth.
-Loud. In the funniest way.
I had to include this picture because it was so funny. It reminds my of when you accidentally turn your camera around and you are surprised by your own face. The longer I look the harder I laugh.

The last two years I have taken pictures of Amelia for a little Father's Day gift. It more like an addition to his gift.

In keeping with tradition I decided to take the girls down to the beach for a little photo shoot. Well trying to take pics at the beach by myself was not easy. Truthfully it was total chaos but I managed to get a couple of cute pictures. Hopefully Brian doesn't read this before Sunday but if he does...Happy Father's Day! We love you!

 Happy Thursday!

Colette: 10 Months

//10 Months//

 10 Months
-Walking with a walker or holding hands.
-Climbing stairs..and everything.
-Really really chatty.
-Thinks everything is a phone.
-So much fun! The best age!
She wanted to show off her teeth.

Well I obviously got behind on Coco's growth updates. I misplaced my card reader so we are playing a little catch up this week. We are having a lot of fun with the girls ages right now. They are starting to play together and I no longer have to worry about Amelia hurting Coco. She still occasionally pushes her over or takes toys but they are starting to have a lot of fun together. No one can make Coco laugh like Amelia and Amelia is very proud and protective of her sister.

Lately we have been hanging out at the beach. That is it in a nutshell. We spend all of our free time there and I have a nice sunburn to prove it. I don't want to waste one day of good weather because winter is the worst. We also walk everywhere. I am the weirdo pushing the double stroller through the grocery store piling food on top. I've embraced it.

On to the pictures...
We spent Memorial Day watching the parade, napping, hanging at a friends "camp", and ice cream of course. (Everyone in Maine refers to their vacay home as camps)

We usually make a stop at the park on our way home from the beach. This was Coco's first time in the swing.

We have also started to do a little landscaping and gardening this year. We are new to it but its been fun trying to clean everything up. I can't wait for our garden to start sprouting.
I asked Amelia to put on her gardening clothes....
She could lounge outside all day long.
So excited to find a worm!

Also since Coco just turned 10 months I have her pajama (and standing!) pictures.

Happy Friday!

Operation Fitness: Half-Way Point

I have reached the half way point to my "deadline".  Truth time. May was not my month. I did really well in March and April and then month 3 was rough. I didn't gain any weight but I didn't lose any either. I was 1 mile short of my monthly mileage goal. I also drank more caffeine than anyone should. I didn't make horrible choices but I was definitely not making the best ones either. Moving on...
I am keeping the same goals with a couple of additions.
-2.5 miles everyday (average)
-No caffeine: 2 days strong...
-Cut the junk
-Chug the water
-Lose weight: 9 lbs so far
-Workout DVD 3x a week
-Free weights 30 minutes everyday
I am still keeping track of my progress, meals, and workouts on Instagram (@yoast_fitness). I am finding this to be really helpful in keeping me accountable. Usually if I don't post for a couple of days there is a reason. Here are some of the posts from that account.

I am on day 2 of no caffeine and on day 2 of really low carb. I am feeling really rough but it'll pass. The most important thing for me is once it keep going. I tend to reward myself with caffeine or chocolate and then I spiral back and have to withdrawal all over again. Wish me luck...or wish me willpower.

Happy Tuesday!
