So Long Summer, Hello Fall

Happy First Day of Autumn!
These pictures are from last fall on the Kangamangus Highway.  A must do fall activity in New England.

It seem like overnight summer has left us and fall has wrapped her golden colored arms around us. It is cozy sweaters, boots, tea, soup, and changing leaves over here. In every place I have lived fall has always been such a fantastic time of the year, but New England is a different breed. There is so much to do and don't forget about the leaves...THE LEAVES! I have already gone through 2 batches of my trick-or-trail mix! (candy corn, dark chocolate peanut m&m, & pretzel sticks).

We are celebrating the first day of autumn with our fall bucket list, so here it is:

-Leaf peeping Kangamagus Highway
-Plum Island, Ma
-Keene, NH Pumpkin Carving
-Apple Picking (maybe bake my first apple pie or carmel apples or both :)
-Pumpkin patch'n and carv'n (maybe paint a pumpkin)
-Roast pumpkin seeds
-Salem Witch Museum
-Halloween costume parade
-Trick or treating (in our fantastic costumes...cant' wait to show you)
-Acadia National Park hiking/leaf peeping
-Hay Ride
-PunkinFiddle Festival
-Leaf art
-Leaf pile photo shoot
-Football Game
-Pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes
-Apple cider and cider donuts
-Hocus Pocus (at least 15 times)

Can't wait to start crossing things off the list! What is every one's favorite fall activities?

"Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall."
